Fitting / Jointing System

BKA GRP Industries developed FLOW BOND® pipe and fitting systems to perform under the most corrosive and demanding conditions relating to the offshore environment.

The FLOXY® series default joining system is tapered bell & spigot and has tapers with a nominal angle of 2.1/2 or 1.3/4 degrees depending on the pipe nominal diameter. It is bonded by an amine-cured epoxy adhesive. Alternative joints including straight bell & spigot, coupling, nipples, and flanges (on demand).

Specification:

Type: GRE, GRV, GRP Integrated connections

Diameter: 1″ upto 48″ or 25 to 1200 mm

Pressure: 1 to 240 bar

Stiffness: 1500 to 150,000 Pascal

The FLOXY® series coupling system is a male-female conical system with a nominal angle of 2.5 or 1.75 degrees, depending on the nominal diameter of the pipe. The series is connected using an amine cured epoxy adhesive. Alternative fittings include plain male-female, couplings, nipples and flanges (on request).

The FLOW BOND® series of pipe fittings is one of the most advanced products of Behesht Kavir Ariana Company, manufactured to the highest standards and in accordance with international industrial specifications and requirements.

The FLOXY® series fittings include 45˚, 5/22˚, 90˚ elbows, equal tees, reducing tees, concentric reducers, and eccentric reducers with adhesive couplings.

The same methods used in the production of the pipe system are used here to produce the fittings. The thickness of the fitting lining is equal to or greater than the thickness of the pipe itself.

Type: GRE, GRV, GRP Integral Fittings

Diameter: 1 to 48 inches or 25 to 1200 mm

Pressure: 1 to 240 bar

Stiffness, Hardness: 1500 to 150000 Pascal

FLOW BOND® pipe fittings are offered in accordance with the following international standards:

• AWWA C950-M45 Fiberglass Pipe Design Standard

• ISO 146992 Fiberglass Pipe Design Standard for Oil and Gas Industry

• API 15HR High Pressure Pipe and Fittings Specification

• DIN 16965 High Pressure Pipe and Fittings Specification

• ASME, ANSI and DIN Flange Drilling Standards

To enable steel connections and easy assembly and disassembly of process pipelines, pipes and fittings can be supplied with flanges that comply with ANSI, BS, DIN or other specifications. In addition, special requirements can be applied upon request.

Flange connection

Welded connection

In general, these fittings can be used for all types of pipes. Installing these types of fittings requires high technical proficiency and good craftsmanship.

This type of fitting consists of a single piece composite female end and a machined male end. The O-ring seal is located on the male end.

The locking device is inserted into place through a hole in the female end.

The polar connection with the rubber seal allows for some axial movement and angular bending.

Locking connection with rubber seal

Adhesive connection

The tubes are manufactured with integral female and male ends. The two ends of the tubes are slightly tapered. The female inside mates with the machined male outside. The two parts of the adhesive, which are epoxy resin and hardener, are supplied in appropriately sized cans with the correct mixing ratio.

The socket end is a connection of an integrally threaded piece of pipe and a rubber o-ring that is placed in the groove. The male end is a machined piece on which the sealing ring is placed. The flexible connection allows axial movement of the male and female.

Male-female connection

Female bipod connection

Coupling or Double Bell connection, short pipes are connected using a female double-ended coupling. The connection is sealed by applying pressure to two rubber gaskets when the connection is assembled.
